Mantle/Throat
The Origin™ Accessories Phase 1 delivers comprehensive extremity protection designed to enhance the Origin Tactical Plate Rack, Plate Carrier, or Armor Carrier. This modular system features a Mantle/Throat component with moisture-wicking spacer mesh backed by temperature-regulating material, paired with raised cross-channel foam padding for comfort and durability.
The integrated design includes sliding tracks for secure attachment and independent shoulder strap adjustment, eliminating the need for repeated throat and collar repositioning. Removable rigid pauldrons transfer carrier weight from shoulders to lateral chest, reducing fatigue and shock impact during extended wear.
Key features include monolithic back yoke and trap protection for reduced bulk, low-profile collar lined with non-textured nylon to minimize friction, and a center chest expansion panel for quick don/doff. The system accepts a 3-pocket wedge throat protector that stows in low ready position, providing front yoke coverage without restricting chin and neck mobility.
Available in Black, OD Green, Ranger Green, Multi-Cam, and Coyote, with Wolf Grey (two-tone) available upon request.
